Suburban District is proud to announce that it has partnered with The Serious Goalkeeping Academy to assist in the delivery of its goalkeeping program. This means that East Hants Soccer Club's goalkeepers not only have the option to attend regular club training sessions but also all Serious Goalkeeping sessions free of charge.
Tuesday April 3rd, East Hants Sportsplex
U10/U12 6:00pm-7:30pm U14/U16 7:30pm-9:00pm
Training schedule.
Hi Goalkeepers,The training schedule for April and May is now online - http://www.seriousgoalkeeping.net/TrainingSchedule.aspxAll players are invited to all training sessions designated for your age group. If you are registered with one of our partner clubs (Suburban, Bedford, Scotia, East Hants, Sackville, Dunbrack, HCU, Storm SC) then all sessions are free of charge and covered through your club registration fees. If you are not registered with one of our partner clubs then cost is $5/session and can be paid at the session. A few parents have asked about paying regardless of being a partner club. You always have the option of making a donation to the program online if you wanted to - http://www.seriousgoalkeeping.net/Payments.aspx All money donated to the program goes towards purchasing additional training equipment. Some of the training will be taking place outdoors (check the schedule carefully!). For outdoor sessions in colder weather, players are permitted to wear tracksuits and hats/toques if they like. Players are not to wear hoodies, or anything else with a visible hood to training sessions. As always, the rest of your gear is still required (jersey, gloves, shin pads, etc.). Always better to be safe then sorry. Dress in layers, you can always take it off if you have it, but it is impossible to put it on if it is not with you.As always, I ask that you notify me 24 hrs in advance via email if you cannot make a training session for any reason. As of April 1st, I will be taking attendance for every session. Attendance records will be made available to all Technical Directors of our partner clubs. Unless stated otherwise by your Club Technical Director, no training is considered mandatory. The simple facts are if you train more, you will become a better goalkeeper. It is up to you how much time and effort you want to put into the training. Be sure of one thing, if you are not willing to put in the time to develop, your competition surely is. It is recommended that every goalkeeper try to attend at least one training session a week. We have tried to make the schedule flexible enough for everyone to do this. If you can make it to more then one session a week then you surely have the attitude and mindset to become an excellent goalkeeper.
"Those who commit will be Champions"
Cheers,
Hunter
